HELP

Gigi asks :  How do I dress to flatter my stomach?

Voluminous amounts of material, in tent like proportions, are not going to enhance your appearance.  It doesn't matter how big you are, you should still seek out an article that has a good cut and a sense of style.

Have you noticed the fashion which is 'hot' in women's clothing this year.  What wonderful fabulous designers decided that most of us are not reed thin?  Yes, the current fashion is all about knit and layered clothing, including the 'baby doll" style which can camouflage a multitude of problems.   So jump on the bandwagon of fashion and wear the look of 'now' with enthusiasm.

If you aren't comfortable in knit, maybe you feel it sticks to your body too much, try wearing clothing that is made of firmer fabrics.  And break up flat expanses of colour by using cut, pattern and texture to ensure that the material cascades over and around curves to conceal flaws.

A good way to direct attention away from your stomach is to direct attention somewhere else, such as an interesting neckline, jewellery or scarf that can lift attention to your face.  And don’t forget a bit of cleavage will certainly divert eyes above the navel.
