Avatar
A young woman at works tells me that she might have something that would interest me and hands me a book
 “The Avatar® Journal”.

Well, I had never heard of Avatar before, but after a conversation with her and a flick through the journal I was ready to investigate and review it.

What is Avatar actually offering?
Who was it directed at?
How does Avatar work?
What would you ultimately gain?

What was it offering?

It tells us it is offering a new way of thinking about life, or how you approach life. It discusses why previous spiritual training might no longer be valued in your life and why it could be that you feel this way?

It offers to help you define “Who you are?”

Avatar supplies 'a set of tools that allows people, in a very short time, to identify and change their subconscious conclusions, decisions and agreements.’

Who is it directed at?

Avatar is directed at people who are trying to find the meaning of life.

People who are looking to improve all aspects of their life, of filling a void and it puts them into a controlled learning and observing situation.

It also appeals to those you might be suffering in some way and can use the tools to gain control.

How does Avatar work?

Firstly, Harry Palmer is the author of the Avatar materials and the man behind it all. It is said that it is mostly spread by word of mouth.

Numerous courses are aids to help people understand the process and there is a mass of material available to prop up the 'Avataree'.

The course could be “a series of experimental exercises that enables you to discover your self and align your consciousness with what you want to achieve”.

It is said that you will “experience your own unique insights and revelations”.

What would you ultimately gain?

You gain an Avatar family or network of like minded people. You gain a set of tools to help you excel in the Avatar fashion. There are pages of letters from those who have participated in the courses. It seemed everyone was aglow with their newfound knowledge and happiness.

They felt light and ‘out of the mud’.

They had ‘found what they had been looking for their entire lives’ and ‘felt energised and encouraged that they were on the right path'.

A number of members were asked to describe Avatar and this is where you feel that it is being explained at a real level.

One member said she said it is ‘the hope of the world’ and ‘is an antidote to despair’.

Someone else said it is ‘a way to live life deliberately’ and that ‘you learn that there is more to life than meets the eye’.

Another said, ‘my life is forever changed’ and if you ‘want to enjoy and show up more in your life, Avatar is the missing manual’.

Within the journal there a number of exercises that you have do to help you understand the process of the tools that are required to achieve your personal results. There are courses to attend, book and DVDs to buy and a membership application form.

The lovely young woman at work, tries very hard in her daily life to positively connect with people. She makes an effort to ‘listen differently' which is part of the tool learning process, but it is a very effective personal trait. You connect with her straight away and I am certain that would instantly make for better circumstances in her life.

Would I recommend Avatar?

I personally know very little about this group as I have only read the information that is also available to you. It seems like it has helped countless thousands. Does it improve the person? It says it can? Does it improve the world as a whole? It says it could?

If you are able to seek, contentment, happiness, success and spiritual connection without the help of Avatar, then that is most likely the preferred choice.

However, if you are unable to make this shift alone, then courses like Avatar, and there are many other such associations and groups, can be useful helping you along the way.

But before you join or link up with any of these groups, do your homework and see 'what it says it is' and  'is what it says it is' to make sure it is right for you.
