Women Do Heaps

WHY DO SOME WOMEN MANAGE TO DO HEAPS?
………………And others don’t?

This is indeed a vexing question?
If you are a woman who manages to do the impossible – filling every minute of the day with interesting and rewarding things, remaining calm and looking immaculate – then maybe this article is not for you!!!!

Somehow you have managed the incredible.  How?  Please write in – all of us here would really love to know if it came to you easily; you had no choice in the matter; or whether you needed to make a monumental effort to organise yourself.

For most of us – we stand in awe of the busy and capable, unflappable and gorgeous.

We are going to make an effort to seek out some of these fabulous women and try to find out how their minds work and how they manage their day to day lives.

For the rest of us, maybe we should make a few steps to improving the input of our day.  Mostly our days go along in a pretty mundane way.  We seem to get into a bit of a rut with the occasional thrilling change – like dinner out or a trip to the theatre.  We like to hold onto our usual pattern because it’s easy.  We don’t have to think.  We don’t step outside the square.  Why? Why? Why?  Is it because we have lost practise in running our own lives when the kids were growing up?  We devote every breathing moment to our kids from day one and hand ourselves over to their needs.

Well, we are Wise Women now?  For many of us our children are no longer requiring every ounce of our strength and attention – so now is the time to start the process of building ourselves a wonderful, busy and fulfilling life – and it is NEVER too late to start.

Enjoy what you do

Firstly, if you work – for goodness sake enjoy it.  It is called mind set.  It really doesn’t matter what you do, there will be some aspect about your job that is worthwhile.  Is the work interesting, are the people you work with fun, do you have a great view, is it easy to get there, do they have terrific piped music, etc.  There will be something that is great.  If there is nothing – my suggestion would be to find another job.  To be miserable about every aspect of your job, well, why are you there?  And while you a trying for new employment, your mind becomes active, you meet new people and at the end of the day you might actually find the job you are in is not as bad as you first thought.

Look for the positives

So my tip is to try to find as many positives in your workplace as you can, and then build on them.  Enjoy them, seek them out and when you make an effort, your work colleagues will pick up on this and who knows how things will improve from there.

So a healthy, happy work environment means you will achieve more at work and feel good about arriving home.  Because you are happy you feel more energised, try and do some exercise, do a course, visit friends, enjoy that hobby, etc.  I know there is not much time between dinner and bed, but doing something for yourself at least twice a week will help you feel good about your self growth and satisfying your “star”.  The weekends are yours to design any how you want.  You can be busy or relaxed but think about the weekend – your special time – how do you wish to enjoy your two precious days.  Over to you…start organising before you get to the weekend so you utilise every moment.

"I am what I am today because of the choices I made yesterday."

Now you may be a Wise Woman who works part time or doesn’t go to work at all.  Here is the perfect time in your life to expand your dreams.  You have done with the child rearing or career building and because we can expect to live to a ripe old age – wow, this is it!  This is not the time to sit back and let the years roll by.  You can choose to do anything on any day at anytime.  Fancy having the freedom to do that!

Try to achieve something worthwhile every day

Now, just sit there and think about what you do each day. Firstly, are you happy with your life?  Some of you will be so busy you haven’t got a spare second.  Well done you.  Hopefully somewhere in all your activities you are “star building”.  Think about all the hours in the day from the moment you get up until the time you go to bed.  Is there something in that day where you input some value information, gained improvements in a skill, experienced something different or helped others.  To become a wise woman, you need to be aware of recognising self growth.

As this site is only new, we are all going to work along together to make changes in ourselves.  We are going to find ways of filling our lives with things that make us feel fantastic and jump with enthusiasm.    We are going to be the best we can be by doing heaps and simply enjoying every part of our lives.  Today is it….the start.

“If it is to be, it is up to me”
