About Us : Others : Private Life Exposed

DOES SIZE REALLY MATTER

Well, at our age and from our female perspective, it probably doesn't.  It is more about whether it works.

But what I wanted to tell you about is the story on SBSTV the other night which was mainly about  'what is the average size for a penis' and 'why don't men talk about it'.

Well, I thought the show was hilarious.  It is true I find a lot of things funny!

The guy (who was not only brave but really likeable) presenting the show (which was not at all sleazy)  had made a plaster caste of his member and then showed us (believe me - it was not sleazy!!!).

His whole life he had been terribly depressed about this 3½" penis and had even contemplated surgery.  So in a way this show was quite cathartic for him.  If the whole world knows he has a small one then he has nothing to hide!

Anyhow, why I am telling you all of this is because our TV host wanted men to talk about their equipment and he found it almost impossible to get them to say anything unless they were unusually huge - then bragging occurred!!!!  Well, well, well!

He tried everything to get men to open up but nothing worked.  So, he created a website and put out a call to ask men to take photos of their genitals and send it to him anonymously.   Then he was going to have an Art show and display them.

As an aside here, apparently if you are a women and have had lots of partners you would have seen a few in your time, but men only get to see their own, plus the stallions on x-rated DVDs.  Sadly most of them are under the impression they are not well equipped because of this.

Anyhow, he ended up with hundreds of these photos.  And the different shapes and sizes, I was personally staggered at the variety.  Shocked is more to the point!!  And I am sure the men were too.

The crowd eventually rolled into the Gallery.  The men said they didn't know how they would feel faced with a wall full of others mens tackle.  But once they had a look, well they were happy to discuss the ones on the walls and, believe it or not, finally their own.

So, the TV show showed us that we are uncomfortable talking about our anatomy and our private lives, but maybe given the right environment we may open up a little.

All things considered there is nothing wrong with privacy but sometimes we need to talk to about things so we know we can feel comfortable about our own circumstances or to get help or advice.  Am I saying the blantantly obvious!

But just you try bringing up topics of a sexual nature at a party and you will find out what happens.  Everyone will shut up like clams.   But really, underneath it all everyone wants to know stuff and are they are happy to listen, but just not so happy to participate.

I think most of us are like that which is probably a sensible thing, but shows like the one mentioned above, give you food for thought.  Maybe WE should discuss things instead of being bombarded with information that maybe untrue or unhelpful and lead us to believe we are deficient or not normal in some way.

And by the way if you actually are interested, the studies show that the average size is somewhere between 5.9" to 6.4".

But if you are also interested in knowing their 'use by date', well that is 'in the lap of the gods'!

Now, who in the world made up that quote!!
