Do you enjoy dining at home but don't want to spend hours cooking and cleaning?

Girls, I have the answer!

Why not try professional, personal catering at home?

I recently searched the web for in-home catering that would be suitable for my family of 6 hungry adults and 3 small grandchildren to celebrate Father’s Day without the hassle and inconvenience of taking the grandkids to a restaurant.

I was delighted to find a company called ‘At Your Table’, a boutique catering company 'with a difference'.

My family was in awe of the friendly professional service which brought the luxury and ritual of a fine restaurant to the privacy and comfort of our home. It really is the ultimate, personalised fine dining experience.

Our personal chef  Ellie Mistry, born in Sweden, has an obvious passion and flair for cooking. She moved to Australia 9 years ago and has recently ventured into her new business (lucky for us).

Ellie brings not only a diverse range of culinary influences to the kitchen, and incorporates her Northern European roots to the rich spices and exotic flavours of India; she also brings her vibrant personality, happy demeanour and her seamless service.

Ellie did all the hard work on the day, leaving us to enjoy our Father’s Day celebration.

Our mouth-watering menu

Smoked Salmon Roulade

Haloumi Cheese with freshly cooked beetroot salad

Slow Baked Lamb Shanks with freshly mashed potato and steamed beans

Swedish Meatballs and Gravy with Mash

Miniature Cheesecakes topped with strawberries and ‘to die for’ mud cakes.

Our non cheese eating daughter-in-law was offered an alternative entree – Pumpkin Ravioli.

Around the dining table, there were comments from the family, such as; “These are the best meatballs I have ever tasted, they just melt in your mouth.”  “The meat on the lamb shanks just melts from the bone.” “This mashed potato is the world’s best.” “The desserts are unbelievable.” "We have got to do this more often."

Our fussy grandchildren even managed to finish off their plates!

Ellie not only cleared the table after each course, she served each of us with her dazzling smile and at the end of our dining experience, she left the kitchen looking like new.

Ellie – we want you back next week!

I highly recommend ‘At Your Table” for your next function, it’s the only way to celebrate!
