I hadn’t used Nu Skin products before (makers of The Galvanic Spa), although I had heard of people using their products and achieving excellent results.

I was recently introduced to their Galvanic Spa System that can expand your home spa experience. It promises to rejuvenate your complexion, revitalise your scalp, and refine your body.

Jeff Gilling, a representative from Nu Skin, visited Gigi and I to demonstrate the benefits of using The Galvanic Spa and explained that The Galvanic Spa, a handheld device, uses self-adjusting, low-level galvanic currents to transport key ingredients to the skin for a revived and rejuvenated.

Appearance. He said that for more than 50 years, spa professionals have used galvanic currents in customised treatments to refresh and energise the skin.

Galvanic treatments operate on the basic principle that like charges repel and opposites attract. When paired with proprietary Nu Skin products formulated with either a negative or positive charge and when programmed with the same polarity, the Nu Skin Galvanic Spa instrument repels treatment.

Jeff commenced his demonstration by applying a pre treatment gel to one side of my face and neck and massaging and gliding over the area with the flat chrome surface of The Galvanic Spa for 5 minutes. I felt my face tingle slightly but it was a pleasant experience. After removing the pre treatment gel, Jeff applied the treatment gel to the same area and massaged my face for a further 5 minutes. The negatively charged Pre-Treatment Gel binds to impurities, and marigold, sea kelp and vanilla

extracts, soothe and condition the skin. The positively charged Treatment Gel revives and invigorates the skin. It is formulated with arginine to facilitate recovery from stress, as well as magnesium, a necessary component of a skin cell's energy cycle. Additionally, the positively charged instrument attracts impurities and toxins bound to negatively-charged surfactants during the pre-treatment phase

for a deep cleanse.

At the completion of the procedure we compared both sides of my face and noticed that the side that had been treated was less lined than the untreated side, in fact, my smile line on the treated side had almost disappeared. We then treated the rest of my face and I was delighted to see that my face had developed a fresh glow, it was softer and it felt amazing.

I have since tried the other interchangeable attachments, 4 of which are included in the package and I found that the Body Conductor made a dramatic and instant difference to the appearance and feel of my arms – they looked taut and toned. Nu Skin claims that the Body Conductor concentrates cellular energy and increases circulation to target pockets of fat and toxins for a firmer, more-toned appearance, smoothing out cellulite.

The Spot Treatment Conductor delivers a more concentrated treatment to trouble spots and is useful for deep lines including furrows and crows feet etc.

The Scalp Conductor is a comb like attachment that really simulates your scalp and easily glides through your hair, leaving your head feeling relaxed and your scalp invigorated.

It revitalizes hair follicles to strengthen hair for maximum vitality and volume. It contains the marine extract Tricalgoxyl, Nutriol which claims to remineralizes the scalp and hydrate the hair, helping hair look and feel more abundant

Jeff explained that treatments with the Galvanic Spa System Instrument lasting five minutes or more, can enhance the delivery of key ingredients for up to 24 hours.

The Galvanic Spa Treatment is akin to visiting the beauty salon for a facial, except that the affects of the Galvanic Spa Treatment lasts longer. I use it on a weekly basis and particularly on the morning of a special occasion so that my skin glows.
