Well, have you had botox?

Facial makeovers are a sign of the time because it is in vogue to look forever young.  And because we are constantly bombarded with email discount coupons for 90% off etc,  'ordinary' women are being sucked in.

All and sundry are puffing out their faces with botox and fillers.

This is the stuff of beauty stars are made of and suddenly we can afford it.

I am sure if you looked in the mirror and saw a wrinkly face you might be tempted to subject yourself to these procedures.   It will definitely make wrinkles go away and they do leave you with a smooth flawless face so all it takes is an hour and a few dollars!!!!!!

Ummmmm...But is the 'look' of the look, and the risk really what you want though!

PROS........

Wow, don't you just love how you can get yourself a full on wrinkle free face at 90% off the recommended retail price!!!!!  Emails are coming in thick and fast and I can buy up truckloads of beauty prodecures for next to nothing.

It is exciting to think that we, the ordinary folk, can keep up the stars and look fabulous well into our older age.  The cosmetic industry is charging forwards with all manner of help for all.

Aren't we lucky.  Just dash into a surgery at lunchbreak and come out looking fresh faced and 10 years younger.  Who wouldn't want that!!!!

We hear all a lot of bad conversation about botox and fillers, but these products are used for all sorts of medical issues with great success.  Why worry!  No-once is complaining about adverse affects of medical use - so why not ignore any perceived risk and get a new beautiful you.  It's surely worth it!!!

Here is an article on the benefits of injections - see for yourself just how easy it is!!!

We have seen the stars, they all do it and they look divine, don't they!  Nicole Kidman with her flawless and youthful face; her transformation with cosmetic procedures is extraordinary.

Who wouldn't want improvements like this:

CONS........

Now firstly, go and just check out what botox is made from here:

Are you back - that is pretty awful isn't it and that we would willingly get this stuff pumped under our skin voluntarily makes the wonder where commonsense has gone!!!  What will this product do long term is yet to be determined...but as I see it...there will be a long line of old wrinkly ladies who can no longer afford the 'topups' who are now in therapy because they can no longer afford it and know youthful looking skin is only an injection away!!!!!

Then there are the dermal fillers that are injected under the skin.  This stuff presumably pushes the skin up and stretches out those wrinkles and honestly, I wonder how your face would look after 2 years.  Would there be more wrinkles after the skin as been stretched out!!!!

Are you prepared to take the risk.  I have come to the conclusion from the procedure that there is a big chance, and I mean a BIG chance you are going to look like a transvestite.  Sorry, but I wonder why these women who get the injections look so different.  I think is causes the previously feminine face to take on a masculine squareness.  Maybe the women prefer this look rather than their well earned wrinkles but looking like dummy with an mobile face is scary for someone like me who has a rubber face!!!!

Take a look at the following pictures and make up your own mind:

Ok - I picked out a few doozies but you might end up looking like this. You won't know what the outcome will be until you undertake the treatment!

It is a gamble and an uncertain one.  For a short period of time you can kid yourself you look younger because there will be no wrinkles.  But maybe you won't look like you and then again - but maybe you think that is preferable.  What will everyone else think!!!!

MY OPINION

So I take it some women will really love the idea of a facial makover or be dead against it.

It is entirely up to you, but for me I am dead scared of it.

I can understand why some women would be enticed but I personally don't really like the 'expressionless vacant deadpan' look and I don't know the long term affects of what will happen to older skin when it has been tampered with.

Maybe that is quite a silly opinion - but for now I will look on with awe at the women who subject themselves to astonishing makeovers and don't mind taking a risk at making some attempt at turning back the years.

I definitely should be saying - good on you - given this is Wisewomensworld - but count me out for now!!!!

Good luck to you all as you decide on the journey of your ageing.

Let me know whether you have tried any of these procedures and the outcome.......I would love to hear.
